Trump Announces 3-Day Russia-Ukraine Ceasefire and Prisoner Swap

President Donald Trump announced Friday that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a mutual three day ceasefire beginning Saturday, along with the largest prisoner exchange since the conflict began more than four years ago. "This ceasefire will include a suspension of all kinetic activity, and also a prison swap of 1,000 prisoners from each country," Trump wrote. "Hopefully, it is the beginning of the end of a very long, deadly, and hard fought War," he said.

Zelenskyy quickly confirmed Ukraine's participation, stating that the truce and the one thousand for one thousand prisoner exchange had been arranged through negotiations mediated by the United States.
